Poticrete featured in Engineering News-Record

An innovative new concrete mix

An  article was released today from ENR by author Tim Newcomb about the innovative new concrete mix featured on a Greenroads project in Bellingham, WA.  Poticrete is a concrete mix that includes crushed old toilets that would otherwise be sent to landfills.  This mix was used in sidewalks for the Meador-Kansas-Ellis Trail project in Bellingham.  We have written several blog posts about this project (6/20/2011, 9/15/2011 & 9/29/2011), with more background on the use of Poticrete.

Here is what the crushed toilet material looks like.
